Sneak peak

I've been working on some mixed media artworks inspired by dress makers pattern paper I came across quite by accident. I recently bought a vase and the shop used old dress makers paper to wrap it in. I fell in love with the lines and arrows and thought it might be fun to layer them as the paper is quite opaque. This piece will be one of a series that will be on show at the Reverse Garbage Emporium from the 11 May 2013.
Now if I could only learn to sew all the little lines and arrows might actually mean something!

me that my black and white owl print had been chosen for the front page treasury.

Nature Frame Process

I don't often think of taking photos as I'm creating a drawing so this is a rare look into the process. Some of the pics are pretty dodgy as drawing went well into the night and I take rubbish photos on my iPhone! All of my drawings start with a number of pencil sketches which is then refined into a single ink drawing. It's then scanned, cleaned up and in this case the text is added.

If you're interested, this particular piece is for sale on my etsy store at https://www.etsy.com/listing/115813396/nature-frame-quote-8-x-10-art-print.

The print has been wrapped with much love and attention and is officially on it's way to London!!
I'm absolutely delighted my lovely little fox will adorn a wall in a home so far away.
I'm also really grateful for all the support, kind words and lots of 'favourites'!
Hopefully one day I'll be as well traveled :-)

Beachy Lines PRINT

Beachy Lines - 8 x 10 PRINT

This is my latest watercolour inspired by the gorgeous beaches along the Sunshine Coast of Australia.
The patterns and shapes from the water, grasses and paths are blended into this painting.
The colours feel like summer to me! To grab a print of this work for your very own go to

Prints for sale!

The Today Sunshine Etsy shop has opened its doors to the world!
I'm very excited and a little nervous to finally have some of my work for sale... in an organised fashion too. My heartfelt thanks to family and friends who've encouraged me and said lots of lovely things about my drawings.
It's a major step for me and even if I don't sell one item I'm pleased I've taken the journey!

Please go and have a look at the shop (etsy.com/shop/todaysunshine) and don't forget to tell your friends... and family... and neighbours... and work colleges... heck, why not tweet and facebook about it too!

Thanks xxx
