Plant-A-Saurus!
I'd stumbled across this brilliant use for the kids plastic dinosaurs on Pinterest (as you do) and couldn't wait to try it out myself! I was delighted with the results but have since found the plants didn't love it as much as I did and died pretty quickly. I've replaced them with air plants which are doing great!

Sneak peak
I've been working on some mixed media artworks inspired by dress makers pattern paper I came across quite by accident. I recently bought a vase and the shop used old dress makers paper to wrap it in. I fell in love with the lines and arrows and thought it might be fun to layer them as the paper is quite opaque. This piece will be one of a series that will be on show at the Reverse Garbage Emporium from the 11 May 2013.
Now if I could only learn to sew all the little lines and arrows might actually mean something!

Trash to treasure!
I'd been playing around stone shaped things of late and had been mucking about colouring paper with tea and rust (using all manner of things I'd found in the garage!) and the two things just accidentally blended together beautifully.
No let me start this next bit with - Wyn Vogel, don't be too cross with me!
but I was actually cutting up the paper we'd been using in a workshop on watercolours (I believe I was supposed to be keeping it for future reference) and using the little bits to experiment with different techniques and I just fell in love with these tiny works of art. So I decided to make a whole bunch and put them together. I have to say I'm delighted with the results and it's gone up on the living room wall already!

I have finally made my first sale in my etsy shop - todaysunshine!
The print has been wrapped with much love and attention and is officially on it's way to London!!
I'm absolutely delighted my lovely little fox will adorn a wall in a home so far away.

I'm also really grateful for all the support, kind words and lots of 'favourites'!
Hopefully one day I'll be as well traveled :-)

| Paper Garlands |
I'm gearing up for my very first market at the St Peters Christmas Shopping Bazaar on Thursday 22nd November and I've already got butterflies! There will only be one of each of my prints framed for sale on the night so you'll have to get in quick to snap one up! Of course if you do miss out you need only to pop over to my etsy shop to purchase a print. As well as my framed prints I'll also have some cute paper bunting in variety of colours (along with some christmas themed ones) and Christmas coloured paper garlands.
Tickets are still on sale (click on the link above for details) or you can get them at the door on the night. Hope to see you there!
